How it works

From sale to the door in three steps

    Create your event

    Name, date, venue, price and how many places. Buy ticket credits at €0.49 each and connect your Stripe account, so ticket money lands with you.

  2. 2

    Guests pay and get a QR

    Guests pay with iDEAL, card or Apple Pay. Only when the payment is confirmed do they get a ticket with their own QR code, one per person.

  3. 3

    Scan them in at the door

    Open the scanner on any phone. Green means in. A second scan of the same code shows the time it was already used.

Your money

Ticket money goes to you, not to us

Many ticket platforms collect your sales and pay you after the event. With Checktac, guests pay into your own Stripe account, and Stripe pays out to your bank on its regular schedule. You can pay the venue and the caterer before the doors open.

The door

Green means in. Everything else is clear too.

The busiest five minutes of your night happen at the door. The scanner answers in one word, in large type, in a colour you can read across a dark hall.

Your guests pay you. Your door stays honest.

Codes nobody can guess

Each QR holds only a long random code. No name, no price, nothing to copy or work out. The scanner checks it on our server.

A ticket only after payment

Tickets are issued when the payment provider confirms the money, never on a page refresh or a screenshot of a receipt.

Payments by Stripe

Card and iDEAL payments run on Stripe, which is certified to PCI DSS Level 1. Card numbers never touch our servers.

Guest data stays yours

Your guest list belongs to you. We store it on servers in the EU, follow the GDPR, and never sell or share it.

Run by Boubrik, a Moroccan catering company, at Inci Party Center. Every guest gets a Checktac ticket, and we'll be at the door with them.

Straight answers

Who receives the ticket money?

You do. You connect your own Stripe account, and guests pay straight into it. Checktac never holds your ticket sales. We charge only for the credits you buy.

What does it cost?

€0.49 per ticket (excl. VAT), bought as credits before you sell. There's no monthly fee and no percentage of your sales. Stripe charges its own card fees, which come off each payment.

Do guests need an app?

No. Guests pay on a normal web page and get their ticket by email. Door staff open the scanner in their phone's browser.

What if someone shares a screenshot of their ticket?

Each code lets one person in once. If the same code is scanned again, the scanner shows 'Already used' with the time and the door, so the second person is stopped.

What happens to credits I don't use?

They stay in your account with no expiry date, ready for your next event. If you'd rather have the money back, we refund unused credits minus 8%.

Can I refund a guest?

Yes. You set your own refund policy per event. A refunded ticket stops working at the door straight away, and its credit returns to your balance.

Which countries and languages?

We're starting with organisers in the Netherlands, Belgium and the UK, and anywhere Stripe supports payouts. Guest pages and tickets will be available in English, Dutch, French and Arabic, including right-to-left.
